Paintings by Olivier Pascal

Olivier is a friend from Auzon in France. He is a painter and a teacher. His painting style is loosely characterised as ‘new realism’. It might even be a school, both now and in the future. A more complete collection of his paintings can be found at his FaceBook address – ‘Olivier David Pascal’. Interested readers can follow up his work there.

Olivier has been kind enough to agree to a selection of his paintings being posted on this site. Hopefully, they will attract some feedback, which might be of interest to him. Please feel free to comment. I will get the ball rolling……

For readers, who would like to make comments, but are unsure how to go about it, the following questions might help.

When thinking about a painting, consider and try to answer the following questions:

1. Does the painting interest you? If so, why? If not why?

2. What is the subject of the painting? What is the painting about? The answer may be physical, abstract or both.

3. What is it about the composition of the painting, which makes the subject of the painting be of interest to you.

Of course, you may have your own set of questions, which you prefer. If so, I would, of course, be interested to hear what they are…….
